Red Hook Winery

Red Hook Winery

91 outside? No problem, we keep it cool in New York harbor, drinking orange wine and cabernet franc at Red Hook Winery. The orange wine is technically white with prolonged skin contact and is skin fermented. That’s what creates that glorious color and complex taste. Our glass from the North Fork was rich and sporty.  The cabernet franc, also from the North Fork, was alive and buoyant, but that could be influenced as we’re sitting back, looking out at the buoys in the harbor and the sailboats under the Verrazano Bridge. Feeling proud to have our own winery in NYC.
